Boat Trip Details
We’ll meet a few minutes before the scheduled time at The Yak Lake House hostel. Once we’re all together, we’ll go over a brief safety briefing and hand out life jackets to kick off the adventure.
We’ll set off across the beautiful Bacalar Lagoon toward the fascinating cenote area, while the captain explains the origin and secrets of these stunning deep-blue pools. Next, we’ll sail past Isla de los Pájaros, a protected ecosystem where, depending on the season, you’ll be able to observe local birdlife right from the boat.
The journey will continue toward the iconic Canal de los Piratas, the historic passageway once used by pirates to enter Bacalar Lagoon. There, we’ll make a brief stop so you can enjoy a refreshing swim in its crystal-clear waters over a gentle white-sand bottom. To cap off the experience, we’ll make one last stop to take photos and relax while you savor your drinks and fresh fruit.
Finally, after approximately 3 hours on the water, we’ll head back to the starting point to conclude this comprehensive day trip.
