After being picked up from your hotel at your preferred time, you'll set off for the Arenal Volcano National Park, located just half an hour away from La Fortuna.
In the heart of Alajuela province, we'll find ourselves in an enchanting natural enclave, much loved by tourists and locals alike. Here, we'll hop on to your all-terrain vehicles, or ATVs, ready to explore the wild jungle surrounding the Arenal Volcano on four wheels. The volcano is currently dormant, but did you know its last eruption was in 2010?
Bouncing through the tropical Costa Rican landscapes on your quad bikes, we'll be truly immersed in the incredible biodiversity of the rainforest. Drive down trails between the mountains, ducking under exotic vegetation and admiring the spectacular views of Arenal Volcano, the crowning glory of the national park.
As the volcanic crater towers above you from its height of 5,500 feet (1,670 metres), we'll enjoy panoramic views over the jungle from the foothills. Keep your eyes peeled - if we're lucky, we'll be able to spot some of the park's native species of animal too, like white-faced Capuchin monkeys and even sloths!
All this quad bike excitement will surely have worked up a sweat, but don't worry: next, we'll make a stop at the Arenal River for a refreshing dip in its crystal-clear waters. After cooling off, we'll make a stop at the Maleku Village, where we'll learn about the customs and traditions of the indigenous community of northern Costa Rica. Then, we'll enjoy a delicious picnic of tropical fruits to build your energy back up after your adventure.
Finally, we'll make the journey back to your hotel in La Fortuna where your excursion will come to an end.
