Step into Costa Rica's rainforest with this hiking trail and discover the Celeste River, a breathtaking natural phenomenon.
After picking you up from La Fortuna, we'll drive to the Tenorio Volcano National Park, where our tour begins. We'll set off on a hike of average difficulty and about a three hour round trip.
On the hike, we'll discover the Celeste River, a stunning deep turquoise blue due to the fusion of two different sources that provide the river with different minerals. We'll marvel at the beauty of this natural phenomenon.
We'll also be accompanied by an expert guide who will tell us all about the wildlife in the area and take us to a waterfall, a viewpoint and the incredible place where the river changes colour.
At the end of the hike we'll recharge our batteries with a typical Costa Rican meal.
After lunch, we'll take you back to the hotels in La Fortuna.
The tour includes pick up and drop off to and from the main hotels in Arenal. If the hotel is located further out than the La Fortuna area or the main road to the Arenal Volcano, you'll be told where to meet.
