On this paddle surfing activity in the Arenal Lagoon, we'll enjoy breathtaking views of the misty cloud forests of Monteverde and the imposing Arenal Volcano as we paddle our way through the water.
Tour Highlights
At the selected time, we'll pick you up from your hotel before making our way to Lake Arenal to enjoy a fun ride on a paddle surfboard. First, we'll explain to you how to keep your balance on the board. But don't worry, you can also paddle sitting down!
Then, we'll start paddling across this lake, surrounded by a lush misty forest for about 4 kilometres (almost 2.5 miles). Did you know that two villages were submerged underwater when the dam was built?
As we paddle along the shore, we may spot the hummingbirds and quetzals that fly over the area. We'll also be able to admire the imposing outline of the Arenal Volcano, a 1670-meter-high mountain (over a mile high). In the distance, we'll also be able to see the windmill field of Tierras Morenas.
Lastly, we'll return to the shore to return all the paddle surf equipment before returning to your hotel, where drop-off is expected 2and a half hours after pickup.
