Lush jungle, idyllic lagoons, and a volcano! Delve into Arenal Volcano to discover the incredible wealth of nature in Costa Rica.
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in La Fortuna and set off from the city toward Arenal Volcano, a must on any trip to Costa Rica.
On arrival at the park, you'll be stopped in your tracks by the view of the imposing Arenal Volcano, towering above the jungle at a height of almost 5,500 ft (1,670 meters). Want a closer look? Good! You'll embark on a hiking route of just under 4 miles (6 km) to the base of the volcano, where the most daring amongst you can choose to walk on the solid lava fields from the last eruption - it's dormant now, don't worry!
From this amazing vantage point, you'll have breathtaking views of the renowned Arenal Lake. Prepare to be amazed by the diverse array of flora, fauna, and fascinating lava formations that make up this area. After the hike, you'll have some leisure time to unwind or indulge in a delicious meal.
Finally, we'll head back to your hotel in La Fortuna, where the tour will end after a total of 4 hours.
For those staying in hotels in downtown La Fortuna, specifically between the town center and Secondary National Route 142 to Tabacón, pickup and drop–off services are included in this excursion.
If your hotel is outside this designated area, we'll meet you instead at the Volcano Travel CR offices located in El Jauuri de Peñas Blancas, La Fortuna.
