Arriving by boat to Limón? We'll pick you up at the Vargas Park cruise terminal, and once we're ready, we'll board a vehicle to set off north in search of the Tortuguero National Park. Let's go!
After 20 minutes, we'll reach the point where the park's canals begin. Here, we'll board a covered boat to explore the lush paradise of Tortuguero and its wild fauna.
During this 1-hour boat ride, we'll cross the jungle while we explain the rich biodiversity of the region's ecosystem. You'll have the chance to spot howling monkeys, sloths, toucans, water birds, turtles, and even crocodiles. Get your cameras ready!
After this boat ride, we'll enjoy a snack of seasonal fruit that will give us the energy to continue our tour. Afterward, we'll return to the vehicle to head to a banana plantation.
Here, we'll go on a tour to learn fascinating facts about the planting, harvesting, processing, and exportation of this emblematic fruit of Central America. Did you know the province of Limón is home to 80% of the plantations of the entire region?
To end this day trip on a high note, we'll stop at an artisanal shop, where, if you want, you can purchase one of the traditional tica pieces. This handicraft is an explosion of colors!
Finally, after 5 hours of adventure, we'll say our goodbyes at the starting point.
